JILILUCK Mahjong Ways 2: The Extra Row, Golden Tiles and a Higher Ceiling

JILILUCK Mahjong Ways 2 is one of two PG Soft titles that the lobby’s own search returned, so it is a sensible place to start if you already know the original. PG Soft calls it the second game of the popular Mahjong Ways, and the changes are specific: a taller middle, a new rule on reel 3 and a published ceiling four times higher. Both games list iOS, Android, Windows, Mac OS and HTML5 on PG Soft’s pages, and both tiles carry the same studio label, so read the full name before tapping.
What changed in JILILUCK Mahjong Ways 2
The usual assumption: a sequel is the same game with new art. What PG Soft’s two pages show: the grid, the free-spins rule and the maximum win all moved, while volatility stayed the same.
| Compared on PG Soft’s pages | The original | The sequel |
|---|---|---|
| Published return | 96.92% | 96.95% |
| Top win | x25000 | x100000 |
| Volatility label | Medium | Medium |
| Layout | 5x4 | 5x4, with one more position on each of reels 2 to 4 |
| Free-spins multiplier | Wins up to x10 | Bonus multiplier rises up to 10 times |
| Extra free-spins rule | None stated | Reel 3 symbols, except Wild and Scatter, turn golden |
| Timeline date | Not on the page | 14 April 2020 |
Myth: the x100000 ceiling makes the sequel the “bigger paying” game. Fact: the RTP moved by 0.03 of a point. A higher maximum with nearly the same RTP means the extra headroom sits in rare outcomes, not in a typical session.
The full rules of the original are on the first Mahjong Ways page, and the section’s other titles are listed on the JILILUCK PG Soft index.
Mahjong Ways 2 features: the golden tile chain
Players often say the golden tiles “turn the whole screen wild”. PG Soft’s description is more precise, and it works in three steps:
- During free spins, reel 3 shows its symbols as golden Mahjong tiles, apart from the Wild and the Scatter.
- When a winning spin includes golden symbols, those golden symbols convert into Wild symbols.
- The bonus multiplier keeps rising during the feature, up to 10 times.
So the chain starts on one reel, needs a win to fire, and only then adds Wilds. Reading that order in the rules window stops you from expecting a wild screen on every free spin.
Peso view of the ceiling. At ₱10 a spin, x100000 is ₱1,000,000 on paper, against ₱250,000 for the original’s x25000. The two RTPs differ by a mere 0.03 of a point, so the sequel’s bigger ceiling is bought with rarer hits. If you switch from the original, play the number of spins you normally would and compare the two runs in Members, Betting record, which lists every result.
Another belief: the extra row is just decoration. Because reels 2, 3 and 4 carry one more position than reels 1 and 5, the grid is not a plain rectangle, and the paytable is written for that shape.
On the account side, the JILILUCK register steps list the form’s fields: username, password, mobile number and an SMS code. If you play on a phone, PG Soft lists iOS and Android for the game and the lobby says it runs in a browser, so the JILILUCK app safety notes are about avoiding fake install files rather than finding one. For a different grid shape with a cat multiplier, compare Lucky Neko’s six reels.
How to Get Started
-
Open the sequel, not the original
Mahjong Ways 2 came up in the lobby's own search under Pocket Games Soft. Check the 2 is on the tile before you open it.
-
Find the reel 3 rule
In the rules window, read how reel 3 symbols turn golden during free spins. That rule is the main thing the sequel adds.
-
Keep the stake you used on the first game
A higher ceiling is not a reason to raise the stake. Start the sequel at the amount you already know you can afford.
